The main role of the President is to make sure the party is ready, willing, and able to campaign and win. My successful track record in a wide variety of leadership roles within the party shows I am well-equipped to do the job.
Meet Prue Bray
In my 30 years in the party, there have been times of celebration and times when it felt as though I was one of a small band carrying the candle of Liberalism through the darkness. Our recent success is wonderful, but we now find ourselves in a place where everything we believe in is under threat from populism and nationalism. There is a lot at stake, and we need to be ready to fight for Liberalism harder than we have ever fought before. We are the cavalry: no-one is going to fight this battle for us.

Demonstrate we are worth voting for by living the values we believe in
- Foster diversity and combat prejudice within our own party.
- Involve people and communities in the decisions that affect them.
- Be open and fair, and respect others, while holding firm to our values.
Strengthen our relationships within the party, to maximise our effectiveness
- Promote collaborative and consultative decision-making at all levels.
- Facilitate access to expertise through mutual support throughout the party.
- Communicate and inform while listening and learning.
Improve the robustness of our organisation, to make our success sustainable
- Plan for the long term with evidence-based, risk-assessed decisions.
- Ensure our administrative functions are adequately resourced and treated well.
- Provide opportunities to harness the talents and voices of our members
